One of the main reasons for disagreements between federalists and anti-federalists was that the federalists wanted stronger, centered government. The Anti-federalists thought that wasn’t important so they wanted a smaller one. It was always a thug of war with them, one wanted a weaker state government the other one wanted a stronger one. They felt that a stronger state gov would be more appealing. Anti-Federalists where more with the people, they supported the smaller businesses, while the federalists supported judges, lawyers and even large land owners.
