I believe that education is the key to a better life; one in which everyone is able to make their dreams come true. However, it is unfortunate that the access to education around the globe is not a given for everyone. This reality is mostly dependent on the home country and gender they are born in which makes the concept of education on an international scope to take in variables under account like these, beside their family’s income or amount of financial support available from the government to be spent on them.
Woman and girls are in disadvantage when comparative education comes in place such as how: the 15 countries of West Africa are among those with the worst adult literacy rates globally, and include the five countries with the world’s lowest literacy rates, below 35%. Reflecting from an educational vantage point, some of these examples include how inherent poverty stands as an obstacle to providing highly-qualified educators to all students, girls cannot complete their education due to being socially or economically required to contribute to work at home, violence in the developing world hinders students from attending schools in isolated areas, and local and national cultures have the power to execute a major part in mediating global influences (Crossley, 2002).
