To be honest is to be believed in to create a bond that will grow and prosper. To be dishonest is to be led astray to harm others to where they might get in trouble, injured, and even worse death and all bonds, present or future, will be no longer.

Some dishonest actions can lead to serious consequences as shown in the article with regards to the Swiss Engineering Company ABB being accused of bribery and corruption (Wallace). Even the actions of a few can put a damper on a whole company. The four individuals, George Alexander, Stephen Dartnell, Simon Mundy, and Carl Cumiskey, were sentenced to jail (Wallace). Once this hits the media, people that are involved with the Swiss Engineering Company ABB will be hesitant to do business or even worse break ties with the company. It is actions such as these will require the company to exhaust every effort and money to build the trust back of its former and future business partners. It is like the saying “Fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice, shame on you,” except second chances are rarely offered. When trust is built between two people or groups over a long period of time, business is bound to prosper because that trust can lead to recommendations to other people or groups. Trust in the technical workplace is first presented to an individual in the form of confidential documents and is then progressed into starting and completing several desired tasks.
