In this world, not everything is as good as it seems. Many people in several countries live a lifestyle that is controlled by a cruel leader, that is also known as a dictator. Dictators commonly work with the same type of government that’s classified as totalitarianism. In totalitarianism; the government can control the political, economic, social, intellectual and cultural lives of a country’s citizens. Dictators did not allow individual freedom, ideas of limited government, or more than one political party. Citizen’s bodies and souls were basically owned by someone other than themselves. Hitler is one of the most known dictators in history, which of course may not be a virtuous way to be known. Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party and Germany from 1933 to 1945. He had a plentiful amount of people brainwashed by sharing his beliefs about Jews not being convenient Germans. While leading the country, Hitler censored or removed all types of media that criticized Hitler or the Nazi party. According to “Adolf Hitler’s Rise to Power”, “newspapers were controlled, books written by Jews were publicly burned, and film scripts were checked to make sure they didn’t criticize the Nazis.” This was no joke, Hitler wanted everyone to think he and his people were good and the key to a future for the Germans. Of course, if anyone got caught criticizing or disobeying the government, they would get punished. In “Adolf Hitler’s Rise to Power”, the author tells us “SS members imprisoned people who Hitler saw as threats.” The article also states, “People were brutally questioned and sent to concentration camps for criticizing Hitler.” You would think talk crap get smacked but this was something extremely serious and fearful for many people who were against Hitler and his beliefs. People were just as crazy as Hitler during this tragic time. The author of “Adolf Hitler’s Rise to Power” didn’t fail to mention that,” At a Nazi mass rule Rudolf Hess, a leading Nazi official, whipped the crowd into a frenzy by shouting, “Hitler is Germany just as Germany is Hitler. Heil Hitler! Sieg Heil!” That’s crazy to think Hitler, a horrible man who just wanted power, is Germany and he represents their whole country. Although Hitler was a horrific man, he also had his charms. We are informed that “Every time he [Hitler] spoke in person, the audience was spellbound.” Hearing about this may have been a reason on why people were on his side and have us infer Hitler was an excellent
