Have you ever thought that the diagnostic images can help classify if the child has been physically abused by their parents, guardians, or caregivers? The article reveals that diagnostic imaging is an excellent way to suspect the child abuse case and the article proves it by demonstrating common information on child abuse, fracture classifications related to abuse, and the roles of Radiologist/R.T.(R) in the diagnosis of a child abuse. Radiologic examinations like MRI, CT, Bone Scan, X-Ray, and Sonography helps in justifying against the child abusers in the court by providing an optimum image of the broken anatomy. Today, there is a mandatory survey for children younger than 2 years to find out if they are getting physically abused. Radiologic Technologist, who specialized in pediatrics, should handle the child imaging to verify for physical abuse. Communication is an effective key to diagnosis of child abuse. Radiologist or physician should examine the child precisely and communicate in a way that child should feel comfortable with the surrounding environment. “The world is a dangerous place not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing,” said Albert Einstein.
