One of the most memorable moments in my life has to be when my grandaughter Aliana Marie Garcia was born. I had been waiting for her to come to this world for a whole nine months!. it was already a special day I held closely as my religion celebrates a special occasion on that day, it is called, "El Dia de Los Reyes", which is a special religious holiday in Mexican culture that is centered around small gifts for children. It was definitely a very wonderful surprise with the precious gift any person can obtain, the gift of life. On the night of Jaunary 6, 2013, the 3 kings day. I left for work, and left my daughter Julia at home with my son Agustin, my grandson Julian, and my daughter-in-law Kaylee. Soon after I arrived at work, I got the
I am going to tell you about a famous, yet kinda eerie celebration that takes place in mexico. This is a tradition celebrated by the Mexican Natives, most Mexican Americans (including myself) don’t even acknowledge this day, unless they happen to be visiting mexico at the time of this event.
It was a day meant to be at Disneyland. My cousins came down all the way from South Africa to visit us, and seeing as theyʼve never been to the Happiest Place on Earth before, we decided to take them.
My first memory with my dad is when we went on a Father-Son campout. We went fishing and both of us caught fish, and then we released them back into the stream. It was special because I caught a big fish, and it was my first fish i ever caught. I felt very happy because, I was just spending time with my dad. My second memory with my dad was at my house for my 9th birthday. It was special because I got a lot of presents and i even got my own Ipod Touch! I felt very excited,
My unforgettable experience is when I went to Manzanillo, Colima. I went 6 moths ago with my boyfriend, and we will never forget it because it was very exciting and we were planning this trip for a long time. We only had 2 nights and 3 days in this beautiful beach but it was enough for us to make it perfect. We spent all the time together just having relaxation time and time for each other. We frequently go to beaches, but this trip was very special.
In this Essay, I will enlighten you about the “Dia de los Muertos” in the Spanish culture. It will contain the history of the holiday, the events that go on during it, and the food eaten on that day. One thing that you must remember is that Dia de los Muertos traditions vary from town to town because Mexico is not culturally monolithic.
Scared of the dead? You shouldn’t be. Did you know throughout Mexico they celebrate the day of the dead? They call it Dia De Los Muertos. On This holiday, they celebrate the passing of their loved ones. In United States, on October 31 we celebrate Halloween, this day we dress up on our most scariest costume, trick-or-treat for candies, and scare others just for the fun of it. They say it’s the day where the dead rise, maybe that’s why most people are afraid of this day.
It was the rainy morning of January 24, 2014, when my dad received a phone call from Mexico informing him that my grandmother
Two of the greatest days of my life were the days my daughters were born. The first time I held the both of them and gazed into their eyes I felt a sense of relief and hope. The feeling is a warm tingling sensation that engulfed my entire body. The emotions that I felt are beyond what words can explain. It’s amazing to me that in the first few minutes of their lives they completely changed my perception of the world.
November 28th 2002, for most was just a normal Thanksgiving but for me it was the day I would finally met my nephew. He was a much anticipated child. He was two weeks over due and we just wanted to him already. That Thanksgiving was different from all the rest. Usually on Thanksgiving the dinner is slowly prepared to perfection and everyone is in and around the kitchen waiting for dinner to be served. But obviously this holiday was different my sister was not there and there only four people at the dinner table this year: my aunt, uncle, the father and me. Midway through the feast we got a call from the hospital that the doctors were going to perform the cesarean section. All I remember is quickly eating my food and then making a dash for the door. When I entered the hospital I became overwhelmed with excitement. I do not know why but everything at that time seemed to be perfect. I do not remember who went into the delivery room but all I remember is that a nurse came into the waiting room, which seemed to be an eternity, and telling us that we could see the baby. We went to go see him, and he lied in the room screaming with his eyes wide open and at that moment I felt a love for a person I never had before. From that day on, all I remember is that I have extreme fondness of children.
My family was going out of town over the first weekend of the year that truly felt like summer. It was my first taste of freedom Sophomore year as I was able to come and go from the house on my own time, choose what to feed myself, and have anyone over without question or comment. On that Friday afternoon I drove my boyfriend and I to my house after school, where we knew we could have a few hours to just be together and experience our first taste raw love.
The day we got my little dog we now know as Opie was one of the best days of my life. I can remember it as though it was yesterday.
At that moment sitting in the car with my cousin everything seemed perfect. My parents were married, and I just got a new father! The whole family was gathered, and everyone was happy. This was the first time in a while the whole family got together. It just made the day perfect.
It was memorable because of the presence of my family and friends back home in the Philippines celebrating Christmas with me. It was also a thanksgiving dinner for my family for protecting my family from the Typhoon Haiyan that hit part of my province. The combination of food and having family enjoying the food was the most memorable one.
Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my drivers’ license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received from it that still exist today.
