Failure and fear are known to discourage countless numbers of people throughout society, and has stopped many dreams from being achieved. Yet, there are still a few number of people in society who contain and/or are able to maintain a capacity of determination thriving inside of them, helping them to strive for their deepest desires. Those type of people are inspirations, for example, Rudy and Malala are two inspirational figures determined for their separate reasons. In the allegorical film, Rudy and allegorical story, Jonathan Livingston seagull, determination was one of the keys to reaching their goals and the only way to make their dreams come true is to work relentlessly with the support to never give up. Rudy was constantly told how he would never play in Notre Dame, and Jonathan was told how flying is only an asset used for acquiring food. These dreams do not become reality by just day-dreaming about them, so both of them worked endlessly to prove anyone who ever doubted them wrong. As it states in Siddhartha, “Dreams came to him, and uneasy thoughts, flowing to him from the water of the river, sparkling from the night stars, molten in the rays of the sun; dreams came to him, and restlessness of the soul” (Page 2, Hesse). Dreams and a restlessness soul are bundled together to inform us how working vigorously is the only way to reach a goal too far from anyone’s grip. To reach your dream, you must be prepared to even suffer from fatigue if necessary, which is what the quote above is conveying. Rudy’s heart remained strong after all the adversity he encountered; he never became hopeless. As for Jonathan, he flew faster than he could ever
