Introduction
Windows hardware’s has played a vital role in current technology of computer era. Computer application has significantly changed the workloads and manual records and information keeping has been significantly managed easily. This has been tremendously associated with the respective improvements with the software and hardware application development and Windows Xp and windows 7 have been most powerful operating system used by many computer applicants and users.
However time is running out for this operating system as there have been tremendous problems resulting from using them. Such issues has call for research to reveals the benefit of upgrading from window Xp and windows 7 to adopt windows 8.in this paper I am going to outline the methods and procedures of upgrading from windows XP and windows 7 successfully to windows 8.
Justifications of new hardware for Windows 8
Unlike other windows, windows 8 are more secure and reliable. As for the business use this windows has a PDF version which is a good resource for the release and preview which relatively appealing for them. The other features would be useful for specific niches of a wide interest of the new refresh and reset purpose. Such features has ability to return a user`s personal computer (PC) to a pristine state without any need of wiping the stored data. Microsoft has devoted huge amounts of effort to marketing in developing their products and services, as well as to the integration of their software products with one another in an attempt to create a seamless and consistent computing environment for the user.
Using WSUS allows us to implement a Windows Update management system that includes a process for updating and installing patches on a regular monthly basis as well as a procedure to test those updates before we push them out to all of our servers company wide. WSUS should become an integral part of our network management plan. In addition MMC allows us the ability to have granular control of our system performance by monitoring the servers through the Performance Monitor module. WSUS combined with MMC will give us the most up to date an efficiently performing network that we can imagine.
The development (or iteration) of the new system was approved due to successful budgetary results over the previous two years and growth trends expected over the next two years. Additionally, ongoing maintenance on the system as problems began to arise was beginning to negatively influence production performance, and a need to iterate the system to incorporate evolving production goals was identified. The successful budget of the previous years encouraged the approval of replacing the current conversion system with a successor that promises to increase production performance while lowering the fixed costs of salaried programmers needed to maintain it.
When Windows XP came out in October 21, many people happily to get the newest operating system. The pro about the operating system; finally it has improved theme by it look and graphic because of the desktop navigation (looks different from it earlier operating system, Windows 200), it will detect any hardware as it will automatically search to find the driver from the internet (such as printer, flash drives, etc.) so the hardware will be able to use. The networks in Windows XP were easier because of the installation wizard to complete the use for the networking. There are some other things that I’d like to work in Windows XP, but sometimes the updates changes things and improve things in Windows XP, including updates for getting rid of viruses. The cons of Windows XP was also become more vulnerable and getting hit mostly by viruses and malware attacks (due getting updates, sometimes the update was annoying because they were forced to be downloaded and install, including have the computer to restart to finish the process). There was a few thing that was taking out of Windows XP when it was upgraded from 2000 too, such as having background changes disabled in documents (I miss those, they were cool). The infamous “Send” and “Don’t send” error report was popping up too often. Some software do have incompatibility when they was built to use for older operating system, sometimes you might have to look for the update when the automatic update can’t find them.
Microsoft was able in the OS segment to double their revenue per PC when Windows 3.x emerged which still needed MS-DOS to run. Most of the sales Microsoft made were to OEMs who would take the additional step of installing Windows on a computer’s hard drive. This strategy was effective in that the cost of production was relatively low, as an OEM may only need a single master copy to do the installation. The costs to Microsoft would largely be bore in R&D expense rather than production. As part of the Microsoft business model for this segment, Microsoft designed their OS to need periodic upgrades. Microsoft Windows 98 is an operating system and its predecessor was Windows 95. An operating system is the interface between you and the computer, which helps manage files and makes using your personal computer simple and easy. While this release was not as big as Windows 95, Windows 98 contains significant updates, fixes, and support for new peripherals. Features like improved protection and better support make Windows 98 a quality upgrade. A new type of file system called FAT32 is used to take advantage of hard disk space, while Windows 95 supported PnP (plug and play). Windows 98 built on that technology and detects devices even better then 95, which will greatly increase the ease of hardware installation. Bundled in the installation of Windows 98 you will get some new software such as Internet Explorer 4.0 and Microsoft Outlook. These additions help Windows 98 take a big step forward. For familiarity and ease of use, Windows 98 has been modeled to look more like Windows NT. A copy of Windows 98 can be obtained for around $100.00 - $200.00. An upgrade is also available, but you must already have Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 to use the upgrade CD, which costs between $80.00 and $100.00.
Computers are very complex and have many different uses. This makes for a very complex system of parts that work together to do what the user wants from the computer. The purpose of this paper is to explain a few main components of the computer. The components covered are going to be system units, Motherboards, Central Processing Units, and Memory. Many people are not familiar with these terms and their meaning. These components are commonly mistaken for one and other.
The hardware should be installed and configured first to enable the operating systems and software set up into the network systems. The operating system installed in the network systems should be considered as the main component of the network infrastructure. Therefore, the company should consider installing one type of operating systems, this because they have similar protocols thus the communication will be efficient. Similar operating system will enable network component to have seamless communication procedures between the components, therefore, if the company should adopt the latest windows 8, this is because the operating system have the latest standardization
