A diverse landscape filled with palm trees, bars, country clubs and beaches. Where people risk it all to make their way and might find themselves as successful entrepreneurs or just another crab in bucket trying to get to the top, pulling down others in the process. The world looks at San Diego as a paradise, where famous people walk the street and freedom of expression is the way of life. People who visit see this place as an oasis, but knowing the real hustle and bustle of this city life, I had a gnawing sensation with every fiber of my being.
The first pivotal point came when my friends and I found ourselves stumbling to our fourth bar in downtown, which was thick with nightclubs, vagrants, pimps, and drug dealers. We were young, barraging through the packed streets with tunnel vision to our next destination. We have grown up together, our parents trying their best to raise us right was no match for waves of city lights, beautiful women in bottle service and the DJ playing our favorite jams.
