Never underestimate your opponent, especially when the competition is me. I am standing my ground telling you that I am a survivor and I will do anything to come out of the Hunger Games alive. With my artistic abilities as well as my resourceful creativeness, my will to hunt and to not starve, as well as to fix any injuries that might come along, will assure myself as the victor. My artistic abilities are exquisite! This will later help me be able to camouflage myself to where no one will be able to find. I have drawn many season scenes that I could easily match to my later surrounding leaving me unseeable. I used to watch my sister do body art and special effects makeup , So I have picked up many tips and tricks to hiding myself into any environments. I have had tons of practice with fishing and hunting i’ve practically done this my whole life. My dad and I used to go fishing and hunting all the time, once we went boating and we forgot our fishing poles so I went to go walk on the beach. As I was walking I found a marshmallow stick and some fishing line with a hook on the end, I tied the fishing line on the end of the pole making a substitute fishing pole. The story of The Hunger Games is an intense depiction of a totalitarianism society that is reigned by the Capitol, whom of which has complete political control over the twelve districts that are all located in Panem. Those who live in the twelve districts must undergo the possibility of entering into the infamous Hunger Games that are intended to remind and represent the Capitol’s authority over the powerless districts. I kept practicing I knew all I had to do was get an elk within 40 yards and it was mine, no problem. As summer progressed I knew I was getting to be a pretty good shot. I was able to hit something about the size of a tennis ball at 40 yards every shot.

Tributes are people who live in the districts. The tributes in the Hunger Games are all the same. They kill one another and become the Capitols puppets. The tributes become violent, emotionless puppets. Then there is Katniss. Katniss is an excellent hunter and becomes lethal during the games. However, she has not lost her compassion. Katniss does not think of herself as a good person. When in reality she is a good person with a large heart, who puts others before herself.

The televised games are broadcasted throughout Panem as the 24 participants are forced to eradicate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. The main character throughout the series is a 16-year-old girl from District 12 named Katniss Everdeen.

The Hunger Games is a book about a girl named Katniss Everdeen that volunteers when her sister’s name gets drawn for the annual Hunger Games. The annual Hunger Games is when a boy and a girl from each district (there are 12 districts) gets picked and thrown into an arena to fight to the death, and try to be the last one to be alive and win! Katniss and Peeta go to the arena and try their hardest to stay alive. A person should read The Hunger Games because of the well-developed characters, it’s clear and easy to read, and it’s very interesting/full of action.
The Hunger Games is a yearly event, in which the audience find it extremely uncomfortable and unusual to watch but for the people of Panem it is completely normal and is something they must take part in whether they are ready for it or not. Imagine being forced into an arena where you must fight to death? Imagine being forcefully chosen for something you have been dreading your whole life! As you can probably guess the tributes picked from District 12 are Peeta Mellark as the male tribute and Katniss Everdeen as the woman tribute in a sudden turn of events.
