Introduction
Students in dental school have to work hard to advance to where they are and where they one day want to be. No matter where the student is attending graduate school they all still dedicate most of their time to each class they are enrolled in. These students can come from different backgrounds or be at different parts in their lives, and still be a part of the same community. Each student has their own way of getting through these years but how do graduate dental students differ from undergraduates and what are ways to succeed in this major?

I also had the opportunity to get insights on how he has managed to be successful throughout college and now. My questions allowed him to expand on the topics and describe his techniques. Researching online and finding the OU Pre-Dent Club’s websites showed me how these students communicate and interact with each other. Communication is key when trying to understand any discourse community, it is the basis of all individuals included in each community. Become known by your professor, meet with him/her when needed. Become friends/acquaintances with students in same classes/same major, could become future connections and also can be helpful now. Form study groups and join the Pre-Dental Club or any club related to pre-dental. Contact professionals or workers who are there to inform students about different things needed for pre-dental major, even just things not needed but will look good and possible put you up higher than others – i.e. leadership positions, academic clubs, social activities, intramural sports, and domestic and global outreach projects. Work together with other students, stay positive about classes and major, post pictures of the different events students involved in Pre-Dental club have participated in, and communication between members usually via Facebook, Twitter, or
