Success can mean so many different things to so many different people. For someone, success can mean being rich. For another, success can mean being educated. Many people have different ideas of success. Where, however, can success be found? Can you just wake up one morning and already be successful? The harsh truth, is no. You can’t just wake up successful. You have to actually work hard (which some people in our generation don’t understand). Where and how can someone work to be successful? What are the steps a person in this generation can take, in order to be successful in the future? One thing’s for sure, success cannot be found while sitting on your couch, scrolling through Facebook… sorry. In order for people in our generation to find success, they have to actually get up and have the will to work. Shocking right? You actually have to work to be successful. Welcome to reality. You can’t just show up the first three weeks and ask for time off because you don’t feel like going to work today. The honest truth is that nobody likes to work. Am I right? Who wakes up in the morning and says “Woo-hoo! It’s time for work!” Let me tell you, I’ve never met anybody with that mindset. It’s just the truth, you’re not going to want to work, but you have to. Your boss isn’t going to care if you’re sick or tired. They get that every day, a different call from a different employee, saying a different excuse. They’ve heard it all. They don’t care, though. They really don’t. As Matt Walsh said in his blog, “Millions of people are sick and tired. Millions of people’s dogs just died. Millions are struggling. Nobody understands anyone else’s pain and suffering. Everyone’s life is hard. Nobody on this planet has an easy life… we might as well just get up and get on with it.”
