What is bravery to you? How would you define it? How would you describe your own bravery? This word can be talked about and shown in many different ways. Bravery can be when you go out of your way to do something good for someone or to help them in any way. Being brave can be nothing like being fearless. Some may understand that bravery is being terrified to do something but doing it anyway. You could be scared. This could put yourself or your life in danger. You may have to have some courage and support to do this. Being brave is showing you're willing to go above and beyond for something. You never know when your going to have to step out of your comfort zone and sacrifice something in order to be brave. Society's definition of brave is alike of mine in a way, but also different. We all know people fighting for our country and people who stand out to make a difference are brave. Some of society's definitions of brave are different of mine such as when Caitlyn Jenner won the Arthur Ashe award. This is an award people receive for courage. Most say she should have won it, but there are some who say she shouldn't have. She is very brave for becoming transgender and so do many. That's why people voted her for this award. There are many classic movies that show heroism and bravery. One movie that is very recent was "Brave". This plot is about a girl who shows a unique way of being courageous. Merida the main character, wants to carve her own path in lifelong her own. She comes upon some obstacles that she has to find her way around. Merida discovers the true meaning of courage and undos a beastly curse. Another movie that shows bravery to me is called "No Escape". This family of 4 goes to Southeast Asia for a business trip but then finds out there are armed rebels who are killing any Americans.
