The song "Dear Mama" and the poem "Mother to Son" are great form of literature. That describe the relationship between a mother and a son. The two pieces of literature have some similarities and differences. Throughout the song and poem you can find many similarities. The first similarity I found was that they both talk about struggles. In "Dear Mama " Tupac says "But now the road got rough, you're alone. You're tryin to raise two bad kids on your own". In "Mother to Son" Hughes says " And no places with carpet on the floor-Bare."
