Deaf Observation

I have attended a local deaf church for a deaf event. The church that I attended was named Orange County First Assembly. It's located in Santa Ana and the date I went was November 26. It was the same week of thanksgiving so, I was invited by a friend of mine. Throughout this event I made a few observations that I notice and I was really intrigued by some that I’ve seen. So, I’ll explain some of my observations that I encountered. So, in the minute when I step to that door all my worries went away. Before I thought that I would exclude or not welcome. But when I got there they were friendly and sincere. They introduce themselves and gave us a pamphlet of their church. As they help me find a seat I just got a warm feeling that I was welcomed to their church. But what I really liked was that they took their time to get know us. They asked me many question about myself. Even I didn’t how response some. From this observation shows how much care they put for others especially for those who are non-deaf. I also noticed something interesting when I went. Worship is a big thing for their church. Which surprised me because they were signing the songs that were played. When I first got to the church. It took me a while to find the room of where the deaf service mass. So I ask some members of the church of where it took place. So when they show the way to the service, I was really confused because I originally thought it would take place in the main hall but, it apparently it was in a small little chapel room behind the main hall. Which I found really weird because they were separated. I felt that they were exclude a bit from the rest of the church.
