How were the Mayan's achievements significant to their society? Well first of all, the Mayans were a religion in Mexico, and they devolved many things that we use today that are similar to what they have used, but more advanced. Their religion started way back near the start of the 1000's. Their society/region ended near the 1400's, and soon became popular from their inventions, and more. Back to the topic to which is, how was the Mayan's achievements significant to their society? Here are 3 achievement's to which, how the Mayan's achievements were significant to their society. One achievement is that the Mayan's carried all their supplies by hand and boat when they would explore, or trade. On Document A it states so, on one of the writings on the top right. This is an achievement because, they had learned that doing everything by hand wasn't so hard and they had soon got used to it, by doing their best. They made their own time system. On Document D, it shows an example on what their time system looked like, and information about it in the passage that is given to the readers. This is an achievement because, it helped the Mayan's keep track on their ritual days, and normal days. When the Mayan's had made their time system, it helped us and others around the world make our own time systems. Once again there were many explanations to choose from, but this one explanation had seemed to be the best out of the other
