“Why do you want to volunteer at the Daly City Public Library?” asked the authoritative figure sitting in front of me, earnestly awaiting for my answer. Because I had calculated the answer to this question for days before my interview, my response came out naturally and went something along the lines of: “Helping others has always been a main priority and passion of mine.
