The major social media platforms used by Dallas Cowboys are Twitter and Facebook. Their social media platform content advances the brand and engages the fan base. The content on Twitter highlights retweets of related posts from current and former players, fans, cheerleaders, and other third party sources. The most recent use of the Google plus was the “Utlimate 53 Cowboys,” in which they regularly post player profiles about the top 53 Cowboy players of all time. The Pinterest platform promotes content that would not fit as well with other outlets. They advertise, share, and promote various kinds of products, not just the typical jerseys and hats. They introduce fans to new line of ladies clothing and fitness gear, as well as a holiday gift guide. The platform also includes a Cowboys’ off the field section where the players are seen in suits.
