Everyday people are discriminated against because of their religion, skin color, or race, and immigrants are not an exception to this. The government should not favor certain religious and ethnic immigrants over others. If the government treats all immigrants equally, diversity in America will increase and the U.S. can easily benefit. Some people think that certain religions and ethnicities have more terrorists and criminals than others and choose to treat innocent people unfavorably, but their accusations are wrong.
71% of all Americans are Christian, and only 2.11% are Muslim, and another 2.2% are Jewish. America is not religiously diverse and culturally diverse. Having one race dominate an entire country doesn’t help it. Americans are culturally unaware of most …show more content…

But the 19 terrorists that attacked in 9/11, did not immigrate to the US and they were not even citizens. They were there on temporary tourist and student visas. Which proves that terrorists wouldn’t go through the rigorous process of immigration screening, risk being discovered and having to wait for an unspecified amount of time.
