In August of 1920 the Nineteenth Amendment became an addition to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote. Shortly after that historic day, Crystal Eastman wrote a passage named “Now We Can Begin.” In her writing Crystal Eastman elaborates about the struggles of women fighting for equality in that era.
