Cristiano Ronaldo was born in February 5, 1985 in a Portuguese Island called Madeira, Funchal to be more precise he was born in San Antonio, which is a small neighborhood in Madeira. “He is the son of Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and Jose Denis Aveiro”. He has two older sisters Liliana Catia and Elma he also has an older brother named Hugo. Many people say that Ronaldo’s humble origins have helped him manage the fame he has now (“Cristiano Ronaldo Profile”) (Pettinger, Tejvan).
Cristiano Ronaldo’s first important steps into soccer were made when he was just 8 years old in a amateur club called Andorinha, which was located in his hometown. When he turned 10 he moved to CD Nacional , one of the most known teams in Madeira. After the year 1996 Ronaldo was asked to join Sporting Lisbon, one of the biggest clubs in Portugal.
