The Crime-Control and the Due Process Model are very different to a certain extent. The Crime-Control model is defined in the text as being “A criminal Justice model that places primary emphasis on the right of society to be protected from crime and violent criminals”. The Due Process Model is described in the text as “A criminal justice model that places primacy on the right of the individual to be protected from the power of the government”. Both serve different actions within the criminal justice system, yet they are very important. The Due Process relies on the courts to make it more difficult to be proven guilty.
