Since the beginning violence has been a part of our lives. Crime has been a big problem in recent years. Everyday lives are being taken from families and loved ones. During the medieval times penalties for crimes were very extreme. Back in England victims, were first partly strangled, then were disemboweled and was then hacked into four pieces as punishment for their crimes. Since they committed the crime they must pay the price; taking the life of another human is unjust, age isn’t an excuse, and violent criminals shouldn’t get life in prison.
First to begin with is that taking the life of a human is unjust. The criminals of today need to be brought to justice. Keeping them fed and a live in prison won’t do anything for them. They just get stronger and kill again as soon as they’re out of prison. In all honesty people deserve to see justice brought to the criminal that has murdered their loved one. “In the new millennium, the death penalty continues to hold the United States in its grip and it is impossible to predict how soon that grip will weaken, much less disappear altogether.” (Kukathas, pg. 20) The reality of the situation families should be able to deal with the murder or accept blood price just like the ancient Greece. During the 10th CE A.D. the usual method of execution in Britain was to be hanged until dead, but until William the Conqueror. In the Federal justice system it handles crimes that happen on federal property or more than one state. The Federal system is split into different levels. The three main levels are the district courts (the trial courts), circuit courts which are the first level of appeal, and the final last court is the Supreme Court of the United States.
With the information provided it's hard to tell what the end result will be. From the history of when the first death penalty laws were made to when the United States came up with the juvenile justice system in Illinois. With many opinions in the world we the people will have to make a decision sooner or later. After all it is up to the justice system to decide on what to do with these criminals
