You’d think cosmetology would be one of the easiest things to take in college. But actually there is more than what you think there is to it. There’s multiple classes that go with it. Classes such as a basic safest and sanitation class, hair care, aesthetics and hair removal, nail care, facial, and a salon management class. Cosmetology is a professional skill that deals with the face, hair, and skin on the body. They study the different kinds of pigments of different types of skin on a person. Cosmetology helps people bring out their inner beauty, talent, and skills. Everything a cosmetologist does such as changing hair color, and finding creams for different types skin all have various techniques that go along with them. Often it’s hard …show more content…

Makeup and skin is the second most important part of cosmetology. But to be able to me a makeup artist ou have to understand the face. The face is consisted of the skin, and the pigments of the skin. Different skin pigments can only use certain creams and ointments. Skin is easily damaged. Skin can be damaged by the wrong lotions, creams, and different types of foundations. People with sensitive skin can 6 usually are told to use a more natural base on their faces. Certain skins may have an allergic reaction to different things so it’s always important to be careful of what you use on your face. The skin on the face is the skin that is the easiest to be damaged the quickest. The skin contains pores. The best way to keep the skin from being damaged when putting makeup on is putting some sort of moisturizer and a primer before applying anything on your face. Cosmetologist that study the face work on how to properly massage and cleanse a face. They learn about all the different masks that are used to help damaged skin on the face. Having nails done always seems to make a women feel unstoppable. It makes them feel like they can do anything and it raises their self confidence.
