Have you ever wondered how singers make their voice sound so good? Well that's not always the microphone that does that, but I will explain to you what it does do. The microphone was invented in 1876 by a German born American by the name of Emile Berliner. Over time the microphone has became more and more useful and come in many different shapes and forms, from hearing aids to microphones used a presidential speeches. All the microphones all have one thing in common though and it is that it is a transducer. A transducer is a device that converts one form of energy into another.

In a condenser microphone on the other hand has two diaphragms and vibrate back and forth when your sound wave passes through them and the vibration in both microphones produces electrical waves which then can travel through your cord or whatever.
