Shambhu and Nelson have been good friends since grade 10 back in their country called Nepal .Nelson recently moved to the United States from Nepal. Nelson has decided to live with Shambhu until he finds a room for him. One day in the evening, they go to park near Shambhu’s apartment and they have a good conversation about fast foods. In this conversation Shambhu is a narrator and they are mainly talking about the fast foods and the circumstances that are brought by fast food restaurants in US. I would be more than happy to share my thoughts about it to you. As you can see many fast food restaurants around, you should have figured out that how popular fast food is in America. Yes, it seems like there is a fast food restaurant in every block. Exactly, when I first came to this city I had the same feeling that you are feeling now. I could see McDonalds, Burger king, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, etc. everywhere. I used to think that why so many fast food restaurants are opened. Later, I realized that many people in USA prefer fast food restaurants because of their busy lifestyle. It definitely saves time, and the food are cheaper as well. Actually, I am also concerned with the quality of food that we are being served in any fast food restaurants. I am not quite sure what other people think but to me it is kind of unhealthy food. That does not simply mean that all fast foods are unhealthy but some are not good for our health. I think many people are aware about the effect of fast food on our health. Although they are aware, they are obliged to eat such junk food. Okay, that makes sense. Why do you think this is an unhealthy food habit? I would like to hear more in details. Sure, I am feeling very happy to provide my opinion on it. I wish I could show you a movie called “Food Inc.”. “Food Inc.” is a documentary movie that shows how fast food is prepared and processed. I did not have much idea about fast food then. But after watching “food Inc.” I understood how unhealthy fast food is. It shows how meat is prepared from the slaughter house, how and what animals are being fed in the farm, etc. In poultry farm, farmers inject chemicals to the body of chicken and it reaches that incredible size in half the time it used to take them to reach their more natural size.
