Little details can make all the difference, from poems to movies, details can pick out the littlest difference. Anthem is a book that can easily relate to other books, poems, movies, and even songs. The movie Village, written by M. Night Shyamalan, and the poem The Road Not Taken written by Robert Frost, can both be immensely the same in significance. From using fear to control people and keep them in an orderly manner, to taking the road less traveled. There are so many details that make these and many other books, cut from the same cloth. Reading a book can make the reader easily compare other books to that singular book. The protagonist Lucius Hunt, seeks to go into the forbidden woods to find medicine from a nearby town. This is similar to Anthem because Equality was always fond of venturing into the woods, “I ask to venture into the woods, to seek medicines and other necessary supplies” (M. Night Shyamalan) when Lucius ask the small council of the town (which it is similar to the city council in Anthem) the council says he shall not. Throughout the movie an incident happens with Lucius, (I seek to go into the woods, and obtain medicines for Lucius” (M. Night Shyamalan) this was said by the women he loves, she now seeks to go into the forbidden woods to save him and acquire medicine, her name was Ivy. Her father who was the main leader of the council allowed her to travel through the woods knowing a secret only the council knew. She ventured her way through the woods with two guards. Eventually, they left her and she went on her own. The secret she learned, that no one else knew was that the monsters the townspeople believe in were played by the council. The council used these customs and dressed as monsters in the woods to stop people from leaving the town. What lays outside of the woods is not bad but good, it is a world of modern day technology. In both stories, the towns used candles and lived back in ancient times. The
