Dogs come in all shapes and sizes. Some are large, some are small. Some are hairy, and some are bald. Each dog has its own unique characteristic and appearance that make it distinct from their peers. However, in some cases, these traits may also be replicated by another dog, which makes them look similar.

While there are dogs such as dalmatians which are known for their distinctive spotted coat, or the bergamasco dogs which have three layers of matted locks that make them unique from other dogs, you also have dogs such as the cairn terrier and norwich terrier who looks exactly the same, aside from their legs and the color of their coat.

Alaskan Malamute or Siberian Husky?

The Alaskan Malamute and the Siberian Husky are similar when it comes to their coat, stature, and facial appearance. Both dogs have a fluffy coat meant to withstand the cold, a large stature, and a wolf-like appearance. They also share the same personality which is a mix of stubbornness and intelligence which makes them unsuitable for first-time owners as both dogs are known to be destructive as well as assertive.

However, while the Alaskan Malamute and the Siberian Husky are similar in terms of appearance and personality, they are actually native in two different parts of the world. One dog, which is the Alaskan Malamute originated from the U.S. state of Alaska, while the Siberian Husky originated from the Russian province of Siberia.
