Dogs come in all shapes and sizes. Some are large, some are small. Some are hairy, and some are bald. Each dog has its own unique characteristic and appearance that make it distinct from their peers. However, in some cases, these traits may also be replicated by another dog, which makes them look similar.
While there are dogs such as dalmatians which are known for their distinctive spotted coat, or the bergamasco dogs which have three layers of matted locks that make them unique from other dogs, you also have dogs such as the cairn terrier and norwich terrier who looks exactly the same, aside from their legs and the color of their coat.
From the hundreds of dog breeds on this planet, there are dogs which would make you look twice and make

Alaskan Malamute or Siberian Husky?
The Alaskan Malamute and the Siberian Husky are similar when it comes to their coat, stature, and facial appearance. Both dogs have a fluffy coat meant to withstand the cold, a large stature, and a wolf-like appearance. They also share the same personality which is a mix of stubbornness and intelligence which makes them unsuitable for first-time owners as both dogs are known to be destructive as well as assertive.
However, while the Alaskan Malamute and the Siberian Husky are similar in terms of appearance and personality, they are actually native in two different parts of the world. One dog, which is the Alaskan Malamute originated from the U.S. state of Alaska, while the Siberian Husky originated from the Russian province of Siberia.

It is a good companion dog that is often carried by its furry parents due to its small size. One of the Shih Tzu's charms is its coat which is long and silky and which can be easily styled and groomed to however you want it. In fact, it is not surprising to see Shih Tzus sporting the latest cut or a having a cute ponytail to show off its face. Some of you may even have your own Shih Tzu right now, or do you?
In some cases, what people think are Shih Tzus are actually their very similar close relative known as the Lhasa Apso. The Lhasa Apso, just like Shih Tzus, are companion dogs which have long, straight coat with colors varying from black, white, honey, and slate. In terms of size and appearance, it can be very difficult to differentiate between Lhasa apso and the Shih Tzu, especially once their coat is trimmed or styled.
The Lhasa apso is a dog breed which originated in Tibet and which was bred to protect the nobles and the monks in the monasteries. They are ancient watch dogs which are known to be sacred in Tibet and believed to be the receiver of their owner’s soul once they have passed away. The similarities of the Lhasa apso and the Shih Tzu may be due to its similar ancestry as the Shih Tzu is believed to be a mix of the Lhasa apso
In Alaska there are 3 main types of bears. They are brown bears, black bears, and polar bears.
Upon approaching the subject in question, one must first ask, “What are dogs?” Evolutionarily speaking, the modern domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris) is the descendent of an ancestor held in common with the grey wolf (Canis lupus) (Melina, 2014). As their Latin nomenclature suggests, dogs are only a subspecies of wolf. Therefore, no great genetic misalignments exist to prevent successful reproduction between breeds (hence why mutts are possible). This is conversely untrue of wolves--distinct only in species--as well as any members of any two separate geni, families, orders, classes, phylums, or kingdoms. Breeds--merely typecast mutations from the original--alone enjoy this special privilege.
...tion, including their initial evolution, their domestication, and the roles they played in human society throughout the ages. It is a relatively new book being published in 2010. Darcy Morey, the author of this book is a zooarchaeologist and focuses his research on the relationship between dogs and humans throughout time. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. This book is based on the authors own research and also refers to the information gathered by many other scientists, all of which are listed in the reference section of the book. As mentioned this book contains the results of research from many scientists and is beneficial for learning both general and more scientific knowledge on the subject. I would recommend it to anybody who is conduction a research on the topic. This book was found using I-Share using the search term the domestication of dogs.
The most common dog breed for the Iditarod is the sled dog. Most sled dogs are just normal dogs, but they have to have these certain things; a natural ‘fur’ coat, has to have an ECG evaluation(for heart abnormalities), must have a microchip implanted, and all dogs must be de wormed. Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based on love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns them, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can help them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day.
Have you ever witnessed a dog sled race? Imagine running through 1,049 miles of ice with pure adrenaline coursing through your veins. One of the most famous and prestigious races is the Iditarod Dog Sled Race in Alaska. It covers over 1,000 miles of rough terrain in a frozen tundra. Although the race is challenging, and some might even say abusive, it is rewarding experience for both the dogs and their mushers. This race is a grand celebration of Alaskan culture that must be continued.

Science also helps us to achieve the task by continuously consulting with paleontologists to research the skeletal structure of dogs and compare the existing bone and body structure to previous breeds. In this regard, Associations have established strict rules and regulations for breeding as well as created a way to unify all breeders in a wide-ranging system in order to promote healthfulness and reward breeders who consistently produce specifically heavier, taller and with longer life span puppies for this purpose by adopting crossbred lines and standardized breeding practice

People have started to make remarks of the resemblance between dogs and their owners, and from what we have found, it is usually noticed at dog shows and from strangers passing by in the streets. There are two factors that could make the owner and the dog similar. One would be people selecting dogs that are like them, and people who select dogs which features start to change and become similar to them over time.
