I agree with your view on agreeing with Kant's argument but in my response I will be playing the part as the devil's advocate.

Conclusion: Kant's view in the first section of the reading is incorrect.

Premise: I do not agree with Kant's view that there is a relationship between God, reason, ethics, and moral law.

Support: No one will ever be morally perfect which is a sin in the eyes of God. If no one can be morally perfect and never be fully able to obey moral law, then God doesn't want anything to do with them. The reasoning we make is not based on God but rather on what we see as right ourselves and what our parents have taught us.
