I had lived in Bharatpur until I moved to Dallas. Bharatpur is a small city of Nepal which located between China and India. It is a city of Nepal, which is a southern part of Nepal. It around two hundred miles far from Kathmandu (capital city of Nepal). Whereas Dallas located in Texas, which is a state of the U.S.A. I notice many differences between Dallas and Bharatpur, such as location, climate, transportation, traffic, income politic, lifestyle, and opportunities. Major differences between Dallas and Bharatpur are transportation, infrastructure, and culture. One important difference is transportation. In Dallas, most of the people use a private car. Bus and train are the public transport in Dallas. People used to take airlines to get farther …show more content…
Buses are the major public transport of Bharatpur. Bus is main vehicle for long distance. Getting an airline ticket is hard and expensive. There is a domestic airport. Most of the people have a single-story house, they do not need to pay for living. People can buy land and make a home. The city does not separate resident area and free will to build own design houses. we can open stores and restaurants beside the road. The city has a public hospital and some private clinics. Around the city, we can see small houses, narrow roads, few business complexes, schools, restaurant, small shops, trees and open areas. A third difference is culture; Dallas is diverse in ethnic and religious backgrounds. People migrate to Dallas from many countries, they follow different religions and culture. As a result, we can find different types of people, cultures, and traditions around the world. Peoples respect other religions, beliefs, and cultures. Most of people are Christian. We can see here most people go church every Sunday. The government gives days off on the day of on Christmas.. In addition, individualism is the most important in Dallas. Children move from the parent's house after finishing high school is
Living in a city like Houston, diversity is present in every corner. From different races and beliefs to different sexual orientation. However, having grown up in Miami, diversity was not present in most situations. Most of the people in my community were mostly Cuban or from Central and South America. All my friends knew how to speak Spanish and shared similar cultures.
However, there is usually not enough land or housing for the city's growing population. There is also not enough jobs in the city to keep everyone employed. Poverty increases and jobs give lower and lower pay. The poor live in slums
Brandywine Apartments is located just ten minutes away from downtown Dallas, Texas. The convenience of this location is one of the reasons so many of the residents chose to reside in the complex. With shopping centers, restaurants, and pubs all within walking distance, its location can certainly make things easier. Public transportation is readily available, as well, which makes the commute to downtown much easier. It is also close by to many of the area schools, colleges, and universities.
“The first commercial flight in the United States occurred in Florida on Jan. 1, 1914, when Tony Jannus flew A. C. Pheil the 21 miles across the bay from St. Petersburg to Tampa in a two-seat Benoist at an altitude of 15 feet” (McDowell, 1995). It was no doubt an amazing breakthrough in the way that travel would be conducted from that very moment on. From 1783 when Jean Pilâtre de Rozier ascended about 500ft in a balloon and traveled approximately 5 ½ miles in 20 minutes (infoplease.com) to the dawn of the St. Petersburg-Tampa Air Line in 1914 was not an easy journey; this is the story of the men that made it possible.
Transport is a political factor as it is controlled and affected by legislation. This will impact on the staff and opponents (travelling to the stadium) as the accessibility of transport will impact on travelling times – both positively (may avoid traffic on a train e.g.) and negatively (trains, buses etc. may be cancelled or delayed). The price of transportation will also affect the mode of transport that these groups of people may use. Similarly, price and accessibility of transport will affect the consumers also. The view that consumers hold on transport, therefore, is likely to impact on the business i.e. effort to travel, money to travel etc. as this will influence how often they will visit, what they will spend during their visit etc. According to (Mintel 2011,) the amount of people using train as a mode of transport is on the rise, mea...
Thirty one percent of adult children ages eighteen to thirty four years old still live with their parents. (HMIH) In the article “The Accordion Family” by Katherine S. Newman discusses many different reasons why adult children ages eighteen to thirty continue to live at home with their parents across several different cultural regions. A few of the major reasons for needing to stay home longer or return home can be: not financially stable to be out on their own, receiving a higher education and the debts that incurred by doing so, loss of job, foreclosures, divorce and there are of course some who can be just plain lazy. I believe it does take a village to raise a child, it is our responsibility to teach and mold these young adults before forcing them into the “real world”. Why does society in general feel that the age of eighteen is an acceptable age to send them off? It is absolutely beneficial to allow our adult children to stay at home longer if needed, both beneficial to society and the family unit altogether economically and to build a stronger family unit.

My home of Laredo, Texas is very different despite sharing similarities in some ways to Tokyo, Japan which I visited last year on my summer vacation. Although they are very far apart from each other, similarities between the two do exist. In contrast many differences exist between the two cities as well, from the people themselves who inhabit the cities to the way they get around transportation wise.

For us today, travel is a matter of hopping on to an express bus or an aeroplane, depending on the distances involved. London is only a few hours away and the moon is not unreachable. In the days of my parents’ youth, travel was a great event. Most people never moved more than fifty miles from their place of birth all their lives. So only a few adventurous people bother to travel at all. Even for these few, elaborate preparations were needed for the months of
