Eric from Columbine and Dick from In Cold Blood are two murders in each story. Eric Harris was one of the pair that murdered students at Columbine High School. Dick Hickock was one of the pair that murdered the Clutter family in Holcomb, Kansas. In the end, Eric committed suicide, but Dick was sentenced to death after the murders. Eric was cold and calculated in planning the murders. He had wrote journals about killing thousands of students at Columbine. Eric was good at lying and manipulating people. He was described as the psychopath of the pair of Dylan and him. During prom it was easy for Eric find a date because he was good at communicating with women. Dick and Perry, who were former employees of Herbert Clutters. Perry confessed to killing Mr. Clutter with the knife and the shooting of the rest of the family. Dick confessed that he couldn’t bring himself to do the killing.
Is it justifiable to inflict the death penalty on individuals who have committed murder? As majority would have it, yes. There are many arguments in favor of capital punishment. Some of these include taking a murderer out of this world once and for all, and saving money that would be spent on them if they were given a life sentence, as well as the majority rule of citizens of the United States wishing it to stay. In Truman Capote’s nonfiction novel, In Cold Blood, Dick and Perry were assigned the death penalty for the cruel murders of four members of the Clutter family in a small town in Kansas. Not only did this pair of men deserve what they got, but it is also better for the state that they were executed.

Sandy Hook is an elementary school in Connecticut that was invaded by a shooter, Adam Lanza. Twenty-eight people were shot and killed, twenty of them being children between the ages of five and ten. Before Lanza arrived, he shot and killed his mother who was a teacher at this school. The article was published the day of the shooting to the Washington Post. The article was written announce what had actually happened during this tragic event. The article was directed towards parents with kids and adults to inform everyone on the catastrophe and to hopefully make schools as safe as they could possibly be. Additionally the author also states that this is not the right time to try and discuss the gun control laws.
The article titled “At last we know why the Columbine killers did it” shows an in-depth look into the minds of Harris and Klebold. Cullen explained that people went on to believe one of two wrong conclusions about the Columbine shooters. All the men who are healthy and fit enough have to go fight in the war and they leave their families and loved ones behind. For Inman, this was his beloved Ada. Unfortunately, Inman gets shot in the neck and is transported to a hospital to recover. But, this was not a completely bad thing because when he is well enough to move, Inman leaves the hospital and begins his journey back to Cold Mountain in search of Ada. My book In Cold Blood is about a family in Kansas getting murdered in cold blood. The Clutter family consisting of Nancy, Kenyon, Herbert, and Bonnie got murdered by Dick and Perry in an attempt to rob them. They were evil. Nancy and Kenyon had a very different childhood than Dick and Perry.
The columbine massacre the day where no one is safe in school or out of school. The columbine massacre is about two students named Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris both seniors 17 years old both two weeks before graduating they killed 12 students, one teacher, and 21 injured to their shooting on April 20, 1999. Both Dylan and Eric were some believe they were bullied by the sport teams in their school so they planned to kill the people who bullied them and other mostly anyone who gets in their way but that wasn’t really why the FBI he said that there target was everyone no one in pacify we will not get in to more details now. Dylan and Eric were both intelligent boys with solid parents and a good home and both had brothers younger than them. They played soccer, baseball, and both enjoyed to work on computers. Both boys were thinking on commit suicide on 1997 but instead started to plan a massacre in 1998 a year before it happened. Then the two boys had got into some trouble for breaking into a van on January 30, 1998 trying to steal some fuses and wires for bombs for them to make, but they got caught in trouble. So the court put them in a program called the juvenile diversion program, but even if they were there they were still planning the massacre and the court also put Eric in some angry management classes and people believe it worked but it didn’t he just did it to look like it work and both boys made it look like they were really sorry but they weren’t. Dylan and Eric both really hated everyone in their school and the court as well after they got caught breaking in to that van that’s when they really started to plan the massacre more and that’s when Harris started he’s journals no one really knows way but they didn’t hate a hand...
Crime manifests itself in various ways in society and oftentimes difficult to pinpoint what drives people to commit certain actions. The Columbine shooting was a particular incident that ended in tears and suffering which resulted in numerous research as to what was going through the minds of these young individuals at the time of the shooting. Therefore, this paper will analyze specifically the role of differential association- reinforcement as altered by Akers in propelling Dylan Klebold to commit such heinous act, while also giving credit to Edwin Sutherland for first formulating the framework of differential association.

The gruesome murders of the Clutters occurred on an isolated village located in southern west of Kansas, which provoked members of the community to begin to suspect whether someone in Holcomb committed such action since the crime appeared to be senseless. Truman Capote, author of In Cold Blood, explains how the people in the village were tormented and devastated because of the murders that took place. Capote emphasizes the result the murders had on Holcomb by using dashes to describe the scene and setting.
