In our modern time our world is becoming a global village as we are connecting with one another of other faiths. The Catholic Church wants to address the relationship with Non-Christian religions as we connect more and more with them and unite as one. God created the whole human race and wishes goodness for all. Hinduism and Buddhism for many years recognize and believe that there is a Supreme Being. These religions give answers to questions, teach teachings about the rules of life and etc. The same as Catholicism believe in God. Also the Catholic Church regards Muslimism of believers of one God, however believe that Jesus is not a God but view him as a prophet. They also respect the Virgin Mary and Catholics should forget about the battles between the two faiths in the past (Nostra Aetate). Nostra Aetate is a Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions by Pope Paul VI and discusses the relationship between Catholics and other religions. The intent of Nostra Aetate is to teach Catholics to respect other religions and to teach the similarities and differences between other religions. Nostra Aetate addresses Hinduism and Buddhism as both having people recognize and believe in a Supreme Being, similar to Catholicism believing in God as the Supreme Being. (Nostra Aetate).
