Cassius learned from Casca that the senators are planning to make Caesar king and that is when he starts telling Casca about his plan to kill Caesar. Letters were given to Cinna to put in Brutus’s home, with Brutus not knowing who wrote them. Brutus interprets one of the letters as request to prevent Caesar from gaining more power. Brutus agreed to be a part of the conspiracy against Caesar as he meets with Cassius and the other conspirators and shake all their hands. He convinces them to only kill Caesar and not Anthony; Brutus been unable to sleep after the men left was joined
