While some may say that Android phones are superior to iPhones, Apple continues to reign supreme in the smartphone industry. The combination of superior software, a better user experience and an innovative design keep the iPhone at the top of the smartphone industry. While Android users have to decide whether to use Samsung Pay, Android Pay, or LG Pay, Apple users will always be able to use one electronic payment system. This displays the continuity involved when using an iPhone as there is no need to constantly transfer information and media. Additionally, Apple’s fingerprint recognition software called Touch ID is more accurate than Android’s software. Also iPhones will receive updates immediately after they are released and can be downloaded quickly. However, even flagship Android phones may take months to receive updates and some do not even ship with the latest software. Certainly, Android is superior to Apple when it comes to hardware. However, no one needs laptop-esque hardware running on a smartphone. More substantial tasks are done on desktops and laptops rather than a smartphone. Admittedly, Android phones have removable memory, allowing users to expand upon the storage of their phones. This is certainly a beneficial feature, but no user is going to topple the 128 gigabytes of storage available on the iPhone. Therefore, while expanded memory may be a benefit for Android users, iPhone users will not miss out on the feature if they purchase an iPhone with a large amount of storage.
