Democratic vs. Republican During election times, most individuals are either on the democratic or republican side. Some people are willing to change sides based on who will best fulfill their political views, while others will always be democratic or republican and never change. Democrats and republicans are the same in a few ways but have many different views; some of which are taxes, gun control, healthcare, immigration, and abortion. This year, 2016, I have listened to quarrel debates, heard rumors about candidates, and have seen different protests on social media because of the election that just occurred. As this election has come to a conclusion, I have learned much more about the government and numerous dissimilarities between democrats and republicans. First, there are some social issues that unquestionably contrast among republicans and democrats. Republicans are very conservative on many of these issues. Republicans believe they need a system to verify that illegal immigrants do not retrieve the same benefits that legal citizens get. They finance sturdier implementation actions at the border. Also, republicans don’t want illegal immigrants to be delivered emancipation because it will just encourage more people to immigrate illegally. On the other side, democrats believe in administering passageways to citizenship for immigrants that came here illegally. Although they want illegal immigrants to become citizens, democrats want actions to take place beforehand like receiving a penalty, paying taxes, learning English, and clearing up the law.
