Today’s Democrats and Republicans could not be any more different from one another. Both sides have both taken up different points of view then they had in the past and have become increasingly intolerant toward opposition. They will only watch, read, or listen to anything from people with similar points of views and values and when things go wrong, they are more likely to point the blame toward the people with different opinions. Let’s examine a Republican point of view on refusing to allow any restrictions on gun control, and the Democrat point of view on the freedom for a woman’s right to choose. Violence and gun control laws are strongly correlated for both political parties, but inversely so. Whereas Democrats believe lessening crime requires stricter gun control laws, Republicans believe lessening crime requires less strict gun control laws. Both parties are finding it difficult to come to an agreement. While leaving republicans asking the question “How do you take away Americans 2nd Amendment?” It’s a tricky situation as republicans, and congress continue to try find loop holes in the system to force stricter gun control laws. Abortion is a very controversial issue that has been discussed and argued for many years. Historically, Republicans are pro-life and Democrats are pro-choice. In the third presidential debate, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were asked if they would want the justices that they appoint to overturn Roe v. Wade, a 1973 court case that made abortion legal. Donald Trump stated that he would appoint two to three pro-life justices, which will in turn, overturn Roe v. Wade and the issue will go back to the states, and give them the power to decide. Hillary Clinton stated that she is pro-choice and stands behind Roe v. Wade 100%. She talked about how the states are putting harsh regulations on women that are preventing them from exercising that choice,
