Definition :
Community Sport Development:
Is a form of provision and practice which based on the social connections that people have developed through the opportunities and participating in sports.
Conceptualizing Community sport development
Community sport mostly located in the public sector or nonprofit sector and is practiced in the following fields :
1. Youth
2. Community work
3. Social Services
4. Probation services
5. Education and others

The establishment of Community sports hubs(CSHs) took a place when the new coalition government moved toward more voluntary sector in 2010 and the main objective of the (CSHs )is to offer a sporting opportunities, increase the participation in sports and industry best practice .As an example is …show more content…

It plays a big role in supporting active democratic life by promoting and overcoming the autonomous voice of disadvantaged and vulnerable communities.
The Structure and organization of community sport development Provision:
CSD is determined by larger organizations and can’t be determined in isolation .
Levels of provision:
1. Transnational :
Refers to the processes or organizations which takes place across or beyond national boundaries. Example: European commissions (MacDonald’s “Be active campaign” ).

2. National: The department for media and sports, the department for education, the department for local and government. Example: Sport England and positive future.
3. Regional: CSD is delivered in regional level and also delivered in other levels. Example: leeds sport services and coaches.
4. Local: CSD IS delivered in a specific geographical area. Example: local business sponsorship and local club football league.

CSD was a counter culture which was seen as a challenge to traditional ways of approaching provisions for disadvantaged groups.

Models of community sport development policy:
There are five models will be explored: two social models, two cultural models and one political model as follows:
• Social models are Social control and social welfare which illustrate the instrumental use of sport.
• Cultural models are democratization of sport and sport democracy which illustrate attempts to extend the participatory franchise.
• Political model which includes sport activism.

1. Social control: is performed by the state directly and indirectly through organizations.
2. Social Welfare: sports offer direct economic benefits that can change the image of community and lead to increase investment.
3. Democratization of sport: the concept of it is that it presumes a single national sport culture.
4. Sport democracy: A model which derived from a model used in the arts but can applied to CSD and which advocated devolution of power away from centralized agencies back to
