The three committees that I would serve are human services, homeland security and public safety, and higher education. The most important committee for me is Human Services. 1 Human services serve for welfare and rehabilitation programs and their development, administration, and control. 2 Human resource are oversight of health and Human Services Commission as it relates to the subject matter jurisdiction of this committee. It is one the most powerful committee. It enforces law for those who does illegal things. It helps to prevent people from crime and the apprehension of the criminals. 4 It also regulates the provision of security services by private entities. 5 And it protects our homeland by the homeland security including the defense of state and nation, including terrorism response. There are different state agencies that helps the homeland security to enforce law and secure the nation. The home land security is important cause it has every right to enforce necessary law that could help secure our country for terrorism and criminals. And the last committee that I would like to work is higher education. 6 I think education is very important in our life. 7 this committee offers education beyond high school. 2 The chair of the committee shall appoint a permanent subcommittee on postsecondary education and workforce readiness consisting of not fewer than five members to consider all matters pertaining to availability of postsecondary educational opportunities in the state including all the educational facilities needed for people. According to “Origins and Development” and “History of the House”, two descriptions of the history of the Congress, both chambers assembled for the very first time in New York in 1789 and then moved to Philadelphia in 1790 where they stayed for 10 years. In 1800 the Congress moved to Washington, DC; however, it was not until 1857 and 1859 that the House of Representatives and the Senate respectively moved to their current meeting locations in the Capitol after its restoration due to the British invasion of 1814 that burned the building. With more than two centuries legislating, the Congress has acquired great expertise in governing the country and meeting the Constitution’s mandates. Yet, in order to accomplish all its tasks the Congress has a very well-defined structure and very specific ways to proceed. Indeed, in order to undertake the most important of its mandates, “to enact law”, the Congress has a rigorous procedure that is combined with some of the different structural elements of Congress which indicate the direction that bills must follow once introduced.
