I believe success means I’ve achieved my goals and that I am pleased with my accomplishments. Self- motivation and persistence allowed me to rise above those who told me I was destined for failure. During my younger ages, we fell on hard times, therefore moving to Texas was an opportunity for me. I am proud of myself for maintaining a B+ gpa, creating new friends and adapting to Texas. Success is both a goal and a journey, that when I reach my ambition, I push myself higher and harder, striving for greatness.
I would like to go on this excursion to experience and to explore the wonders of life. Earning this opportunity to go to New York will give me experience to something unfamiliar and gain new skills or knowledge.
Recently, I’ve volunteered at my high school to help out for an elective fair for incoming freshmans. I helped with the anatomy and physiology booth, answering students’ questions about the class and the benefits of it. During the summer, I also contributed to my community by planting trees in Houston. I love meeting new people because communication is the key to life. Life is too short, so I try my best to connect with new people. Motivation keeps me going even through hard times. After I graduate high school, I dream of becoming a pediatric surgeon. Some days I feel like the work is too hard and I start to doubt myself, yet, motivation is what kept me going.
