Many people go through life like a ship lost at sea without direction, simply drifting around wherever those tides in life happen to take them. Unlike those people, I have always had a definite objective in my life. Credit goes to my father who is an immense influence on my personality and choices. He always said, “if your intentions are clean and clear, the path to your goal becomes much easier”. The best gift my parents gave me besides their own genes is a sane and open mind. My father was an intelligent, lively and dynamic man who never pushed me to study hard; instead, being an educator himself, he instilled the importance of education and thirst of knowledge in me. With all the cheerfulness and liveliness my father instilled in me, the two most important lessons that he taught me for a successful life are: to do everything at its best and to its fullest, and self-reliance. …show more content…

My career choice further took its shape when I saw the pride in my parents’ eyes on my sister’s acceptance into medical school. After that, I had seven more years to delve this endeavor and the more I thought about it, the more so it became clear that I am carved to be a doctor. Of course, if I have to practice medicine I have to practiceitwithutmostexcellence. However,mylearningwouldcomebeforethat.InmylateteensI became interested in motorbikes. Before riding the bike I tried to gather information about the bikes, watched videos, read books, focused my interest on one particular kind, learned how to ride it, obtained a license and now I aspire to bike across US. My professional pursuit is different, but follows the same path. By extensive study and practice, I want to become an evidence based internist who always obtains a clear history, do a thorough physical exam and shrewdly utilizes these findings to make appropriate
