During this first clinical rotation, I have encountered not only countless great learning experiences but also a positive opportunity to interact with patients with diverse needs and backgrounds. My adaptation journey to this new environment has allowed me to measure my performance in distinct fields such as the evaluation of requisition, physical facilities readiness, patient care, equipment operation, positioning skills, anatomical parts imaging, radiographic techniques, image identification, and radiation protection. This paper describes my strengths and weaknesses on the categories mentioned before and presents an action plan that helps me to improve my less skilled areas and to enhance my performance in every other area.

When the patients arrive in the room, I always greet them cordially and smile to show them that I am delighted to be their tech. To patients who cannot fasten their gown, I offer to help them, because I understand that for some it is shameful to expose areas of their skin. Most of the patients that I have had the opportunity to see are people in pain or geriatrics, so I always try to be gentler when handling them, I ask them frequently how they feel, and help the getting off the bed. When it comes to positioning them for their x-ray, I make sure not to make sudden movements that could scare them or hurt them, and I always let them know when I need to touch them for positioning purpose before doing it. At the end of the examination, if the patient has another procedure in the clinic, I accompany them to the corresponding waiting room and wish them a good recovery. Although this is a category in which I consider myself high skilled, I still must improve on being more consistent on using gloves.
Continuing with the equipment operation aspect, I can say that the X-ray equipment they use on my site varies in some ways compared to the one we have at Keiser University and still struggle a bit when using it. I yet confuse the functions of the pedals to move the x-ray table especially those to modify the height of the table causing me to take more time during the exam. As far as immobilization devices, I have not had the opportunity to use other than sponges; however, I can say that in the chances I used them demonstrated good skills and the images had diagnosis
