She was more than a mile away from her home. 4 blocks away there was an all-white school, but she could not attend there because she was not white. Instead she would have to walk six blocks and wait for a bus to pick her up and she would have to wait 30 minutes in the bus just to get to school. The ride back was the same she would get on the bus for 30 minutes and walk home six blocks away. Her parents were fed up and wanted to do something, but how could they? They took the case to court the first ruling they denied it and then after many court cases that were passed on and went to the supreme court. The
