Because these pieces of evidence support star-crossed lovers and why we fall in love over breaking apart due to the conditions they are in, it is also showed in many other pieces of fiction and non fiction texts. For an example, you can see them in Grimm’s version of “Cinderella” and William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”.“Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, it also shows the archetype star-crossed lovers. In the play “Romeo and Juliet”, the Capulets and the Montagues do not like each other. They both hang out in the same place; the plaza. Romeo decides to sneak into the Capulet’s party with his friend, and party there because no one knows who he is. There, he meets his love, Juliet, and they fall in love that night. When she stood up the prince looked into her face, and he recognized the beautiful girl who had danced with him. He cried out, "She is my true bride." (Grimm Brothers)”. At the beginning, it talks about how the step mother says how Cinderella could not possibly be the bride because she's all gross and dirty. Deep down the prince knew it was her because of the way she looked. When the shoe fit Cinderella perfectly, it shut everyone up. They knew that Cinderella was indeed the girl he was looking for. Because the mother was so cruel in saying how she was to ugly for the prince, this proves the original thesis of how people stay in love with each other even when people try to knock them down. In case, since it was the mother who was trying to break them apart, it makes this show how people do try to knock others down especially when they are jealous. In both of these two texts, the archetype “star-crossed lovers” is being shown. According to both of the pieces of research I used, these two people stayed in contact with each other because love makes you excited.
