As Paulo Coelho once said "Everybody has a creative potential and from the moment you can express this creative potential, you can start changing the world." The potential that he speaks of is in everyone and some people realize it at an early age and harness that a become great people. The issue that comes up when that potential is ignored or not even searched for or persuaded. It starts for the very beginning when a child is born into this world and from that moment forth they have to start searching and discovering that they really are as a human being. They must find the true and ultimate reason why they were put on this planet. In many cases ignoring what their child might have to say about those decisions, they back up their choices by saying they know what's best for their child and they have lived longer and know better. In the fairytale cinderella, she starts out her life on a great path in discovering who she is as a person. The thing that derails her and her dreams is the death of her mother and her father remarrying. Cinderella happens to get an evil step mother and two step sisters, that hate her. They force her to become a kitchen maid and work all day and night serving them. By the end of the story she gets help from a magical being that helps her pursue her true self, she overcomes all the difficulties that her stepmother and sisters put in her path and becomes the queen of the land. The way this reflects on today's culture and society is simply that kids are made to believe they have to be what their parents say they need to be. These kids become robots, following every command their parents give, not taking even a fraction of a second to see if thats what they want to do with their
