Columbus, a Spanish explorer, discovers the New World in 1492 and as result, invokes opposing philosophies to Colombus’ character, explorative purpose, and Indian opposition as a result, this sets the origin for the social and early economic conditions for America. All too often do historians dismiss the more gruesome realities of history. When it comes to the topic of cultural portrayal within a society, one can readily agree that a specific society, as a whole, will try to defend their reputation at all cost.
