In today’s media it is almost impossible to find a show that does not contain some sort of explicit sexual material. Adolescents are starting to engage in sexual activities at earlier ages and they do not understand that the media does not accurately portray the risks and dangers associated with having sex. With this adolescents are also becoming more interested and curious to learn about sex and their bodies. I agree with your analysis. I too thought that Jean Kilbourne would have a field day analyzing Valerie Lukyanova. However, I did not think about the child pornography aspect that you mentioned. I took another approach by talking about how Valerie was objectifying herself, by literally turning herself into an object, the Barbie. But thinking about your point makes me sick to my stomach. You are completely right. Barbie dolls are associated with children. By Valerie forcing herself to look more like a Barbie, she is also making herself look childish and younger. Thus, increasing the fantasizes of child pornogrpahy and sex with minors.

Pedophilia. It is another form of child abuse which has always been an issue and now has increased in the last decade; as bad as it is, I am more interested in the why more than anything. What lifestyle and childhood did they have as a child that may have created the horrid sexual preference in children and is there any likeness they can change. I will be taking a look into the minds of pedophiles everywhere using pathos and logos. Maybe dive in a bit deeper into the minds of a pediophile using the information I have collected from articles I have read. There is a possibility something was missed, trying a new tactical strategy will be trying to approach the issue sympathetically in the hopes of better understanding them.
