To: Hiring Manager I am responding to the Project Coordinator position for the Chicago Park District on the Chicago Park District jobs page. The Chicago Park District mission has three components that focus on enhancing the quality of life, maintaining the beautification of parks, and meeting the needs of its customers. I am applying to this position to help advance the Chicago Park District mission by using my professional experience and knowledge to assist department heads with the development of policy initiatives and strategic planning priorities. As an educator, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment in managing the foreign language development of over 750 students. As a result, I planned strategically to prioritize and multitask a diverse range of demands from students, parents, and administrators. I have developed a high level of organization in my long term planning, weekly planning, and assessment of progress for my students and I. While pursuing a master’s degree I explored the basic principles, logic and processes of public budgeting in understanding the allocation resources. Furthermore, through my studies, I learned to use economic tools such as an economic cost and benefit analysis and an evaluation matrix to develop and evaluate public policy respectively.
