“Our country owes all her troubles to him” says John Wilkes Booth in his last diary entry. He thought that President Lincoln was not the right person to be leading the country because of this and many other thoughts, he killed Lincoln. One motivation was that he thought he was doing something good for his country. John Wilkes Booth believed that he did the right thing for his country and was willing to take the punishment for it.
