Superman was a hero, person, and a compassionate man. Most people recognized him for his powers but I recognize him for the way he uses them. He doesn’t use them for evil. He is willing to risk his life to help anyone in the ominous face of danger. This can relate to Atticus Finch in Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird because he is compassionate, courageous, and Tranquil.

Atticus Finch is a compassionate man, he fought for what he believed in and made sure he passed those same important principles to his children; Jem and Jean Louise FInch. Jem and his sister learned from Atticus Finch and not only learned his principles, but they accepted them and saw the world the same as their father. Atticus had shown sympathy for Tom Robinson in this case by fighting a losing battle for a black man. Doing this in the southern United States was unheard of. He has shown throughout the book how he is able to keep his emotions and feelings in tact when he is trying to defend Tom Robinson in front of the jail. He shows that being calm throughout your life can get you through many of the hardships in life. Due to his calmness in the confrontation with Bob Ewell Atticus avoided a potentially deadly situation that could ignite a riot in maycomb county. One on the side of Atticus Finch and the other on the side of Bob Ewell. On page 76 Atticus says, “You just hold your head high and keep those fists down. No matter what anybody says to you don’t let em’ get your goat. Try fighting with your head for a change… it’s a good one, even if it resists learning. This quote shows patience by saying that you don’t have to fight someone every time they make you angry, you have to be patient with them and reason with
