Cultural criteria for an influential leader may include being powerful, persuasive, and intelligent. In most cases, these are attributes that coincide with being a good leader. There are many leaders that were influential leaders; however they misused their power, making them corrupt and bad leaders. One leader that comes to mind at this description is Adolf Hitler. Hitler was a strong political leader because he was a gifted orator, strong military strategist, and a visionary. However, he also demonstrated moral corruptness, trying to commit genocide, manipulating others to serve under him and killing obstacle that got in his way. Adolf Hitler was a gifted speaker during his career as dictator over Germany. He was a charismatic leader when he first started his career . When he spoke, he had the gift of catching everyone’s attention and drawing them in with every word he said. He not only enticed his audience with the words he said, but he convinced everyone that becoming part of the Nazis was the best way to ensure victory. He knew exactly what he wanted to accomplish and made it happen. Hitler began his career in the lower levels of the military, and by the time his career was finished, he had become the dictator of Germany throughout the entire Second World War. Hitler made sure that he paid careful attention to detail in every plan that he made. When Hitler made the decision to rise to political power, he knew exactly where he wanted to be in power. Although he was Austrian-born, he wanted to rise to power and have control over Germany. He knew the Anglo-Saxon community was now going to be his enemy because they were one of the only communities that could ultimately prevent Germany’s ability to rise as the ultimate world power at that time
